Many of you’ve been complimenting me on my hair recently. I’m really happy to see I’m not the only one who’s noticed it’s gotten better! My haircare revolution started more or less a year ago: I started using scalp treatments and hair oils but investing in professional hair-repair masks was the best thing I did. I tested many of them and you’ll read about my top three in a moment. By reading on you’ll check how I use them and what I think about each one. Thanks to them my hair is finally healthy and looks wonderful! I heartily recommend them – keep reading to know everything. <3
Why was my hair damaged?
I envy all those who have naturally thick, lovely hair. Mine is thin and lacks body. I got to terms with it a long time ago, but decided to do something about it a year ago. Before the big changes, I did many things that caused even more damage: coloring, flat-ironing, plus no haircare products, only shampoo… I’m so happy it’s the past! I’m living proof that any hair can be fixed. Don’t give up on your strands, girls. Get some pro treatments and enjoy fabulous, thick and healthy tresses. See which items did best for my hairdo.
My TOP 3 Hair Masks for Damaged Hair
Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask
To be honest, it was other bloggers’ glowing reviews that made me reach for Nanoil. Plus the low price! I’m happy I did it and loved it from the very first use.
Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask has a thick consistency. Spreading it all over the hair is easy. I put more product on the hair ends which were ruined the most. I also love how it smells, making the hair smell lovely. It lasts long like perfume.
Now, it’s time for the key thing – effects. When it comes to the benefits that the mask brought quickly, hair got smoother and softer, stopped looking dull and gained amazing shine. There’s more to the performance, though! Keratin proteins penetrate the hair to repair and nourish it. Thanks to that hair gradually looks better as well as is stronger and thicker.
Working for all hair types is another thing I like about the Nanoil’s mask. It works brilliantly for my fine, thinning hair, but I’ve read it goes well with curls and thick tresses too. My sister sometimes uses it and confirms that.
Though my hair’s in good condition now, I still use Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask. As stated by the manufacturer, it is also beneficial for healthy hair, guarding against future damage. I use it less often and my hairdo isn’t tired of it yet!
You already know it has an affordable price and I need to add that it also lasts long because it comes in a big jar – another thing that makes Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask my number one.

Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me Masque
My hairdresser recommended products by Kevin Murphy a long time ago. I picked the hydrating mask because it was on special offer and designed for dry and damaged hair like mine. I really like it and have already bought the second package.
It comes with a convenient applicator which gives the right amount of the mask for one use. Remember to use it sparingly because it may overload the hair (which happened to me a few times). The bottle has a lovely, purple color.
This natural formula is impressive. It includes rare kakadu extract, rose oil, evening primrose oil and seaweed extract! Thanks to the ingredients the mask brilliantly hydrates the hair. Beyond that it builds a protective filter on hair making it more resistant to external conditions. Right after use, it makes hair shine lovely and greatly softens it. My hair finally stopped being dry and dull. I had to wait quite long to see the effects but they’re definitely worth it.
After reading the reviews of Kevin Murphy and Nanoil masks it’s obvious they produce similar effects. The reason why I rate Nanoil more highly is a larger-size packaging which lasts longer and a smaller price. Kevin Murphy’s products are costly yet effective. The manufacturer recommends using the shampoo and conditioner from the same line but I haven’t tried them yet.
Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask
And here’s another hair mask that I’ve known and liked for a long time. I mostly like it for the express treatment because it can stay in hair for just 5 minutes – even the manufacturer recommends that. I checked that and it turns out to be perfectly enough. I must warn you, though. It weighed my hair awfully when I left it in for around 20 minutes. That’s why for me it works more as an upgraded hair conditioner rather than a mask for home spa.
Like all products by Moroccanoil, the mask is based on argan oil – a brilliant and natural moisturizer which additionally strengthens the hair and makes it shine. The formula has been enriched by plant-based proteins and shea butter. They make the product highly effective but also thick – we need a large amount to cover the hair fully. Out of curiosity I checked how it does on my scalp. Unfortunately it did nothing good, only made the hair more oily. Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask contains some fragrance substances so it smells great but may prove too much for delicate, fine hair. This product protects from UV rays, which comes in handy in summer.
There are two tubes to choose from: 75 ml and 250 ml. I chose a smaller one. Once you finish the tube, remember to cut it in half – this will give you product for at least one more use, I’m sure.
There’s just one more thing I want to bring up. Hair masks do keep hair ends from splitting but cutting off was inevitable in my case. Going to the hairdresser’s for trimming regularly is essential to maintain hair health and beauty. Naturally, the products take credit for most of the improvement but trimming once in four months helps a lot too.
